I have lived my life in Delhi & never heard of this Chor Minar! What a shame.
Where is this exactly? And some more history about it please.

Hi @Nisha !! This monument is located in Hauz Khas, near Laxman Public School.
Alauddin Khalji built this monument to display severed heads of thieves and POWs so thhat it could act as a deterrent to people who might consider breaking the law.
It has 225 holes from which the severed heads would be displayed, placed upon a iron spikes.
It is said that when Alauddin Khalji ordered the beheading of 8000 Mongol troops, there heads were displayed here.. piled up in large mounds next to the minar, to send a political message to the Mongols in order to deter them from attacking India..
