Arguably the last powerful Mughal General, the period of time (1781-1783) when he held the reins of the Mughal Army, it was deemed as the second most powerful army in India.. One of the important reforms he introduced during his time was to 'ensure that his soldiers got paid on time'.. The suburb of Najafgarh (in Delhi) was named after him..

Daana Paani Food Court, NH 1 (Karnal)
Daana Paani, NH1(Karnal)
While estimates vary from sources to sources, it is a known fact that a sizeable number of Delhi-ites like to drive their way to various hill stations of Himachal Pradesh like Shimla, Manali, Kullu e.t.c. and to the various pilgrimage destinations in Punjab like Amritsar, Taran Taran e.t.c
National Highway 1
To drive to these popular destinations from Delhi one needs to take the National Highway 1 which takes the travelers to these destinations. The drive is a long one and it takes approximately 4 to 6 hours (depending on your speed) to reach Chandigarh itself.
During such long drives travelers seek good places to rest and relax after long bouts of driving, which often can be strenuous. Travelers also look for places where they can have scrumptious food without having to worry about it's quality. While the NH1 is dotted with eateries (dhabas) there has been a dearth of world - class places where a traveler/rider could chill out in a cool place right next to the National Highway 1 until now..

With the opening of Daana Paani, a Bollywood themed food court located right next to the NH1 in Karnal, the long standing need of travelers to have a place where they could stopover, on their way to Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, to relax, unwind and have a meal in a stylish environment has been answered.
An oasis of modernity and style Daana Paani is an incredible food court which has some of the best restaurants like Haldirams, Vaango e.t.c. So whenever you hit the NH1 the next time do not forget to check out Daana Paani for its awesome ambience and great food !!
